The Mastic Beach Hebrew Center is starting an Inclusion Committee.  The purpose of the Inclusion Committee would be to focus on MBHC becoming more welcoming and inviting to people with disabilities, including their families. 

THE INCLUSION COMMITTEE'S MISSION STATEMENT IS:
The MBHC's Inclusion Committee's mission is to raise awareness and guide our Temple and its members in meeting the physical, educational, and individual needs of all of its members.

FOR EXAMPLE:

• Placing mezuzahs low enough so a person in a wheelchair could reach them. • Making it possible for a person who can not walk up steps to get on the bimah.

This committee would be the "go to" contact for resources and information about inclusion and how to address specific needs as they arise.  The Inclusion Committee is looking for individuals who are interested in helping out; even just having ideas would be helpful.  If you are interested in joining or if you have any questions about the committee, please contact:
